If it is still straight and square, that is a good price.

Edit: What style of axles? Just regular 6 lug?

Well I didn't have a tape measure to check corner to corner, but I didn't see any dents or tweaked metal anywhere.

The axles are the "single-wide trailer style" for lack of a better description, the bolts are at the outside by the rim, and the hub/spokes are held to the rim with those little tabs.

Ive always called those mobile home wheels. I'm sure there's a more technical term for them but its always seemed most people know what I'm talking about when I refer to them. I prefer to steer clear of them, because they can be a pain in the ass and 14.5s are a little harder to source.

This is why I asked. The axles are likely actual trailer axles (meaning not sourced from a mobile home). BillaVista did a write up a few years ago on his. The axles are sure to be fully serviceable, as will the brakes, but you might want to swap in a pair of 6 lug 5k axles w/brakes if you do buy it. Redneck Trailer is a good source for parts or axle assemblies.

Snagged a trailer on Thursday for $1100, it's old with a bit of rust on the fenders but otherwise in good condition.

1992 Econo-Trailer 7000lb GVWR
Brakes on one axle and diamond plate runners. Came with a small box, ramps, 2" ball, and a spare. Tires are all in good condition with plenty of tread and the spare still has nubbies on it. Currently trying to register it in Maine.

And by the way if anyone does want the 10K trailer I was looking at here is a pic:

$1000 in Chase, MD. Tires 3 years old in good condition, needs a new wood deck, has brakes on one axle (need to be hooked up).

Looks like a good buy to me, I am surprised it's a 2" ball though. Check your drawbar and make sure it's appropriately rated for the load.

I have a 6000, but use a 5000 with a 5000 rated 2" ball. Total weight with the Jeep should be about 5500.
